Shri B Nagi Reddy
Prasad used to discuss every aspect
of the film with me and Chakrapani. He had the advantage of having a lot
of experience on pre-independance day films. It was easy to work
with Prasad. As far as his skill in extracting work is concerned, I would
like to narrate an incident. Janaki was just 18 years old and was nervous
at times. During a particular shooting stint, even after prolonged sessions,
she was not able to bring out the expression that Prasad wanted. He slapped
her. But, the next moment he cajoled and coaxed her by patting her and
got her to narrate the lines with the proper diction! That was Prasad.
For one thing, he was basically an actor/actresses achieve the right modulation.
Prasad - A very likeable ego-less personlality. When his elder Son Anand
passed away, I saw him a pillar of strength - he was and what a control
of
emotion! When Prasad opened the color Lab at Hyderabad, he expressed his
gratitude to me: "You sent for me in Bombay. Today I have achieved
all this. I owe all theseachievements to friends like you". This
is the modest nature of Prasad.
